SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- The early 9:30 a.m. start time for Game 6 frustrated many Valkyries fans across the Bay Area. The WNBA Finals start time was less-than-ideal for many fans, but that didn't stop them from showing up at Thrive City outside SF's Chase Center Thursday morning.
It's a weekday, so, of course, most people either have work or school. Some, however, might've called out sick from work to do so.
A woman, who KRON4 blurred her face, seemingly did not want to make it known of how she got out of work to attend the watch party. One boy, seemingly with his parent, was at the watch party instead of inside a classroom.

Fortunately, if you work in tech or a similar industry (seemingly most of San Francisco workers), you may have the luxury of being able to work remotely. Plenty of laptops were seen at the watch party.

Thrive City's official Instagram page posted a video showing these workers. But, just like KRON4, the venue was nice enough to hide the identities of these employees -- in case they are working somewhere they aren't supposed to.
Unfortunately for Golden State fans, their team lost to the Atlanta Dream, and a Game 7 is set in San Francisco. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m. PT Saturday and will be televised on USA Network.
